Chappy’s Blog #9 IDENTITY
My name is Marty. I write under the name “Chappy”. Raised in Santa Fe, NM , I had a pretty normal upbringing in a family of six. I ran with an assortment of kids, including Hispanics, Indians, white kids, literally anyone that wanted to play. I married a terrific girl at an early age, running off to Las Vegas, NV, our adventure continues to this day. Always curious with a mind of my own, I have been involved in many endeavors, law enforcement, business, safety & security, and banking/mortgage. Now I participate with some guys in writing this blog page. Why am I involved with this site. It’s not complicated, I am cleared eyed in seeing that as people, we are in real trouble. All of my observations on paper come from within me, I do use sources, but I prefer to talk/write about personal experiences and observations, using some sourcing, but mostly using what I have actually seen and heard from real life. This is effective writing because I will not lie to myself to win the day, and I don’t blame or shame others in some opinionated tirade. If wrong or incorrect about something, I will readily admit it.
Society is in trouble for the following reasons:
- Formation of Children – Personal observation. Nothing about God, discipline, values, respect, restraint, and morals, is taught and expected in today’s families. There are minor exceptions to this, but I won’t lie to myself, I observe this lack of formation even in my family. Without these core values, people can be manipulated towards freedoms of destruction.
- Insecurity – People live their lives in the social media world today. Their entire identity is based on who likes me. Continual exposure in social media channels is needed to insure a sense of self for far too many people. It is a way of hiding sadness, by showing the world just how happy we are. When one is at his/her lowest point, the social contacts will not be there to provide support in the time of need. It’s a sad thing.
- Politics – Truthful people can clearly see that politicians and their cohorts live only for themselves. Liars and false prophets abound in that world. Little god-heads run our lives through emotion rending techniques that cause the stomachs of the weak to to churn and burn, thus causing people to turn to anger filled feelings of hatred and revenge. Propaganda spewed by media outlets continually pound the same message over and over again. Don’t believe me, switch channels on news outlets. The same key word or opinion is being repeated on all of those channels. You figure it out!
- There is much more that I will be writing about. The “cancel culture” can’t remove our blog site. We are here to stay. My aim is to get you to think for yourselves. You’d better or we could be done as a country and as a world! Life is short, make it your world, not theirs……..more to come!
