How Cancel Culture has been used, and abused by Mainstream Media,
and why it’s now backfiring on them
Cancel Culture in and of itself is not necessarily a bad thing, it’s a response by the people to punish in some way those who have done a great injustice upon the rights of a person, or a group of people. Up to and including countries and their governments. Its intent is to discredit and disgrace, through the exposure of ethical or moral wrongs that are found to be unacceptable within the norms of society, by using the voice and the will of the people. – Up to and including a boycott, protest, and social disapproval, and civil disobedience, with the desired consequences being the ability to stop, or prevent an action or activity, or to remove an individual or entity.
When the Judicial System and the laws that are implemented, seek only to favor a specific group,
or individual IE., and “They are found in some way to be above the Law, and or the Law dose not apply to them.” It becomes necessary to “Expose the wrong doing or injustice” especially when it only seeks to favor the elite, preventing justice from prevailing. To receive any facsimile of justice, Cancel Culture is not only acceptable, it is expected, especially when there is a preponderance of evidence that is available but it is being refused, ignored, or discounted by the Governing Authority. Keeping in mind that there are always at least 2 sides, and 2 separate opinions to every story. There’s what you believe happened, then there’s what they believe happened, and then there’s what really happened.
Prior to the Clinton Administration, which instituted a campaign against what they defined as hate speech,
thus began censorship and the assault on freedom of speech and pushing “Politically Correct” terminology. Cancel culture always followed the principle of seeking justice; “Innocent Until Proven Guilty” the burden of proof is on the accuser. Journalists within mainstream media always followed the golden rule; “always have a reliable source, and never run a story without a second source to back up or prove the allegations, and evidence provided by the first source.”
After the Clinton administration;
We have the current version of Cancel Culture, it is based on an accusation without evidence to back it up, or at least not enough evidence to receive Justice through legal means. We are now having to deal with half truths, misleading, not validated and unsubstantiated accusations, no evidence and in many instances down right lies by individuals and groups “not seeking justice”. But to receive there 5 minutes of fame and maybe a payday through some form of financial settlement. Our Journalist representing Mainstream Media, have been pumping out mistruths, and propaganda, suppressing and hiding evidence. They change the narrative often to keep the population’s attention off of themselves and to avoid facing accountability for their actions and false allegations. But they have gone too far and boxed themselves into a corner with their lies. To cover up the failure on their part, to obtain reliable sources with credible evidence, and after getting caught red handed lying and misleading the public they have turned to misdirection. By overselling the next disaster, or catastrophe and attempting to keep the public off balance with the Shock And Awe they are hoping that we will forget their past wrongdoings. But Cancel Culture was created to seek justice, where none could be obtained within the system,
it has rules and those rules have been broken and with them the trust of the people both in
Cancel Culture and those who peddle it.
But Dread Not! Cancel Culture is alive and well. “We the People” created it and “We the People” will institute it upon those who have defiled it. We have long memories and we shall not forget the injustice, regardless of the drama and propaganda.
