From accusations of racism, to accountability in the press, the left’s continuous hypocrisy in how it views issues reveals an extremely dark and disturbing agenda
No one should take what the hosts of ABC’s “The View” say with any seriousness, especially a TV show that presents itself more of a gossip circle than journalism. But it’s difficult to dismiss the atrocities of the program. Created by Barbara Walters 25 years ago, the show originally focused on national news and entertainment, with several women discussing various topics and sharing opinions. But over the last several years, the show has taken an extremely drastic turn as a social justice platform, with hosts consistently battering anyone with a traditional viewpoint. Sure the hosts toss in a conservative voice, but this does little to balance discussions, and Ana Navarro, once considered a reasonable conservative, has exposed herself as more vile than sensible.
Take for example the recent Turning Point USA event on July 22nd in Tampa, Florida. The event, held every year to give young conservatives between the ages of 15-26 a chance to meet with politicians, listen to guest speakers, and receive leadership training should be celebrated as an opportunity for responsible young adults to express their opinions on a wide variety of issues, even by those who disagree with conservatism. Instead, the hosts of the View took the opportunity to slam TPUSA, and accused the organizers of welcoming neo Nazis, which supposedly were invited to the event. It was a lie, and ABC had to be threatened with a lawsuit for the hosts to apologize, which they did, on two occasions, with very little if any sincerity. But this pattern of behavior, which includes how the press crucified Kyle Rittenhouse and Nick Sandman before all evidence was examined, should concern any American who claims democracy is under attack. Those that rioted on January 6th 2021 should be held accountable, but removing the right to due process is by far more of threat to democracy than a moron wearing a water buffalo hat, and a grandmother who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
As I write this, former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago private residence has been raided by the FBI, reportedly searching for documents Trump might have. Democratic politicians as well as RINO Republicans hell bent on making sure he never attempts to run for President again, (out of fear that he would probably win) will defend the raid as necessary to uncover the truth. Yet this same precedence does not apply to Hillary Clinton, Hunter Biden or former Attorney General Eric Holder, who claimed Executive Privilege during the fast and furious investigation in 2012. By far more evidence exists of election tampering by the Obama administration and Clinton in 2016, as well as possible corruption by President Biden’s business relationship with his son than anything Trump was ever accused of, but truth and fairness is not the objective of media and corporate magnates. It’s to reshape America in a way that removes democracy from average citizens, and create an environment of obedience, all while claiming to preserve these two rights. We’ve seen this narrative in it’s most extreme forms over the last three years. Entice fear over not being vaccinated, censorship of opinions on social media, and silencing parents who question the quality of their children’s education. Virtues once seen as birthrights are now viewed by many as crimes.
Sadly, many Americans who disagree with the left’s agenda continue to remain silent, despite the destruction it has caused in our communities. It’s the playbook that has been used by former regimes such as the Soviet Union to control populations, but even this might not be enough to wake people up. It’s negative reinforcement disguised as compassionate necessity, and it will ultimately lead to the end of American democracy.
