From what we eat, to how we think, the new world order is manipulating our behavior. Sadly, it’s working.
When one mentions “new world order”, there’s often visions of right wing conspiracy theorists that flash through the minds of progressives. Yes, there are many of us who believe there’s an underlying class of people dictating how society functions. It’s not too far fetched, as Joe Biden himself used the term on March 21st, 2022 at a Business Roundtable meeting. What he actually meant is debatable, with many concluding it simply has to do with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and how the world needs to adapt to a new global economy. Some believe however, that the idea of a new world order is much more cynical, as well as diabolical. If you believe that’s extreme, and much to do about nothing, maybe you’re not noticing signs that point to this as more than a real possibility.
How else can one explain the extreme censorship that has occurred over the last two years regarding the Covid-19 global pandemic. Media, especially social media, considered themselves the authority on which scientists and medical professionals could or could not express an opinion. Anything outside of an approved narrative, for example, challenging the notion that masks and lockdowns accomplished little, was quickly chastised as misinformation and “right wing” conspiracy. Yet over the last several months, there has been an acknowledgement by many economists, such as the Center for Political Studies in Copenhagen, Denmark, that have expressed lockdowns did just that, but did lead to massive unemployment, increased domestic violence and missed education. Sure, there are other studies which counter this one, but even if you don’t believe the Copenhagen study, it’s extremely close minded not to even consider it’s validity. Here is an example of a person’s behavior so entrenched in their convictions, that anyone who counters these measures must have some other vested interest. If you’re trying to sell fear to the masses, it’s an inconvenient truth to point out that the majority of deaths were age and disease related, rather than those that were healthy.
How we behave often changes through the course of our life. Our attitudes, as well as characteristics can be heavily influenced and shaped by environment, and those around us. In the 1972 documentary Willowbrook, The Last Great Disgrace, Dr. Michael Wilkins notes how a patients behavior can be influenced by others, in how they act and respond to stimuli. “If you and I are were left to sit on a ward surrounded by other disabled patients we might begin looking like this too”, he states as camera show individuals with different disabilities sitting on a floor. This is no different than the student who goes off to college only to come back with radical viewpoints on race and economics, as if there is only one conclusion, mainly that stated by their educator. To go beyond the information you receive and develop your own conclusion, which may or may not be in sync with what you’ve learned, only then shows that you have exhausted all other information. Many media outlets are only know acknowledging that Hunter Biden’s laptop is a credible news story, but of course, it will be dismissed by leftists as a non story. To be this closed minded, especially by a group of people who were aching to impeach a President, or crucify a supreme court nominee for an event that may or may not have occurred decades ago, further solidifies that the idea of manipulation to advance an agenda is very real. How can anyone trust journalism when this occurs is bewildering.
Human Behavior, which includes so many factors, such as attitudes and values, now seems to be driven mostly by thoughts and feelings. A society that functions on celebrating the individual rather than the needs of a community, it sure to one day collapse. We might be seeing it now. Transgenderism, which has lately gone from an individual right to live as one chooses to the idea that a community must adapt to the needs of that individual, is an example of how a society can concede and sacrifice so much in an attempt to find consensus. The movement to defund police is being sold as the solution to ending racism, when in reality it is people of color that are most likely to be victims of violent crime. Data in both of these areas, doesn’t match the reality of what is really happening, yet media will have many believing otherwise. Perceiving something to be true often blinds people to what is actually true. In the 1950’s, the American public was sold on the idea that saturated fat, mainly from animal protein, was the primary reason for heart disease. Many physicians challenged this notion, but were silenced by the medical community as radicals. Low fat diets and processed foods soon dominated nutrition habits, yet the rate of cardiovascular disease, as well as diabetes has actually increased over the last 60 years. We are now being told by many, (such as Bill Gates) that elimination of animal protein, and development of lab grown beef is the solution to not just health, but environmental concerns.
It’s important now more than ever, that we challenge the status quo, and question what many in media, medicine and education are telling us. It’s important that we look for alternatives, and not support the radical institutions, (such as Disney) that are intent on changing cultural norms. Much of what we are used to is fully embedded into our daily lives, and it will be difficult to leave them. However, we are on the verge of a societal change that we might never recover from, and will impact generations ahead. Roy T. Bennett has said “Do what is right, not what is easy.” These are words to live by.
Until next time
