The Great Resignation and Silently Quitting

We have a lot of job openings and no takers for those jobs, and as the politicians and employers are left scratching their heads, and wondering what the problem is, it comes down to some very simple facts
that they just can’t fathom, so complacent and accustomed to kicking the can down the road, buy telling others what to do, and expecting it to be done simply because they said to do it, has spoiled them beyond compare, for years they have gotten away with using well trained employees to take care of their every need, and refused to pay for or acknowledge any accreditation or degrees that the employee is required to have to meet the employers needs.

Keeping it in mind that since the 1970s a CEOs earnings have increased by about 300%, while at the same time there employees income has remained the same “IE minimum wage”, and in many cases, as the cost of living has increased as the income has decreased

and although the employers continually offer a higher wage to a prospective employee, more often than not once they have the employee on board and the employee gets to their first pay day, they find out that they have been started at entry level wages, and when they approach the employer about the discrepancy between there pay rate and the original offer, the employer always explains that everyone is started at the entry level wage,

The new employee will naturally question the action of the new employer, based on their training and experience as well as any certifications and degrees they may hold, as well as the original wage offer, but rest assured the employer will dismiss there Training and experience as well as there certifications and degrees by making the claim that your training and experience was with another company and that they do things differently, and that you’ll need to be re-trained to fit the new employers requirements

And as far as certifications and degrees the employer will dismiss those as well they will inform the new employee that there certs will have to be re-obtained to receive credit for them, there reasoning? because they were not obtained while working for the new employer they cant be validated and the employer will half to make sure that all of there certs are up to date and valid, before they can
receive any credit for them, and of course the employer will never follow up, request by the employee to up date, or re-obtain certifications will most often go unanswered, or ignored by the employer, and the most common response from the employer
” It will half two wait, the company is short-handed right now, and we simply don’t have enough people available to arrange for the time off right now.”

As far as any University or College degrees, they will simply inform the new employee that either there degree wasn’t accepted by the new employer because it came from a university or collage that the company doesn’t consider an Accredited University or College or because the degree wasn’t in the profession or occupation that the employee has been hired for.

In my experience if the employee accepts this line of reasoning, at some time down the road after having worked for the new employer and having become associated with several other employees, they will find out that the employer has hired several individuals, who have no experience or training and hold no certifications or degrees of  higher education, but somehow have managed to obtain a higher pay rate and benefits, that they themselves were able to obtain.

Claiming that there short handed and that the workload will decrease after they hire some more employees, they will also begin to assign additional task and duties on top of the workload that is already assigned to the new employee , and most often the additional task and duties have nothing to do with the job that they were hired for, but have every thing to do with the fact that the employee had previous training and experience as well as any “certifications or degrees” that were dismissed or rejected in the beginning.
“As the saying go’s why pay for the milk, when you own the cow.”

To the bubble head employers that are wondering why there is a great resignation and why silently quitting exists.

Here’s Why! due to corrupt politicians and bad actors and having suffered through the government infringement
and a loss of their jobs, the population was required to start again with new employment and in the process they too have become painfully aware of to the abusive nature of the employers,

Many returned to their old jobs, but the employers wouldn’t pay the returning employee the wages that they were making prior to the government lock down, the employers actually expect to get away with paying them minimum wage upon their return, while treating them like they were new and unqualified to do the job, while others were forced into new occupations and professions, and again they were expected to return to work at the lowest pay rate, regardless of their qualifications.
Those that were considered essential employees saw no pay increase and there hours shortened
unless they were a traveling nurse or doctor who made out very well

Those that returned to work, did so finding themselves having to meet a bunch of new and idoitc regulations being imposed, by the local government upon the employers, who went along with the infringements, and tried to force their employees into compliance, IE. shot and mask mandates.

And low and behold No one wants to work for the same government, or the beurocercys that they have come
to hate, and despite for destroying their lives, and throwing the world’s economy under the bus
-I can’t imagine why? –

So to break it down, the “Great Resignation” was a result of Government infringement, followed by the greed and abusive nature of the employers, who were trying to regain the ground that had been lost during the lockdowns, and the desire to be back on top again at any cost, including the loss of there loyal employees.

Silent Quitting is a little different its the result of the employers being exposed and challenged for abusing their employees, by overworking and under paying them for the work, put simply its the refusal to do two or three times the amount of work in the scheduled hours simply because the employer refuses to hire additional personnel and the refusal to take on additional work or to do things for the new employer that is outside of their job title, and requirements of the job they were hired for, without just compensation.
.

Employers will tell you there is a need to higher the least amount of employees and effectively doubling the workload on each employee is necessary for the company to make a profit and grow.

buy doubling and in some cases tripling the workload on each employee so that they can increase their profit line has become unexceptable
the lack of benefits and a pay rate below the cost of living along with bad scheduling on the part of the employer has also become unexceptable

To the Employers because they just don’t Get it

If you want the job done, Great we would love to take care of that for you, but not for Free!

You all adhered and imposed the Governor’s unconstitutional lock down’s and mandates, we told you from the get go if you did, that we would not return to work, and we would not frequent your businesses after we returned to a somewhat normal status.

We The People Are Pissed Off.
Keep Calm And Carry on.
